The Midwest Cooperative Education and Internship Association (MCEIA) was founded in 1975 and strives to advance the importance, understanding, and development of cooperative education, internships, and other experiential learning through education, service, collaboration, advocacy, and mentoring. MCEIA is dedicated to advancing the professional development of its members through a variety of programs, including: annual conference, awards, scholarships, webinars, blog, discussion groups, and shared resources. At the annual conference, MCEIA recognizes outstanding achievements made in the field. Winners are announced for the E. Sam Sovilla Educator of the Year Award, Employer of the Year Award, Donald Hunt Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Practices Award, Public Relations Awards of Excellence, Research Grant, Wisdom Grant, and Student Scholarships.
